try waiting for 30 seconds or more , and see if the lock up fixes itself,
the desk top keeps reloading that is probley why you only see the desk top;
as to the poping i do not know what that might be either, but would like to
know myself.
Am using windows xp home 32 bit and have had this happen before as well.
The computer acts frozen and then might fix itself or you might need to
reboot.

Not always, but quite frequently, I, too, have the problem of a lock-up with
no
speech at all upon boot-up, and I, too, have Win XP Pro. Somehow, I really
doubt it's the fault of Win-Eyes.

Every morning, when I boot up, the computer locks up after announcing
"Window
Eyes 7.5.3 and I have to reboot to get it to work. I was wondering if it
was my
computer. Guess not.

Subject: A couple of Problems with 7.5.3

Hi Guys:
I am getting a couple of problems I never have had prior to 7.5.3 and
wonder if they are common and if there are settings that may fix them.
1) When in the Google Accessible Search box:
I type something and whenever I hit the delete key to remove a character
I have to hit f11 or otherwise maximize the EditBox again or I just hear the
ping ping (left and right cursor) and cant enter or read anything.
Is there a setting or script that targets this behavior?
2) Perhaps 1 time in 5 when I boot up my computer It boots up and I will
hear the music and WindowEyes will start to say WindowEyes TaskBar or
whatever
it says but it gets cut short and the screen locks up requiring another boot
which usually then works fine.
I do notice a Pop sound prior or after the WindowEyes statement when a
successful boot is in progress but not when the boot fails.
A sighted person says they only see the DeskTop while it is locked up
and they do not see a PopUp message in either case but I hear the sound
associated with a pop up.
Is this something that may be related to a setting someplace?
I run XP Pro and WE 7.5.3 on a 32 bit Intel machine.
Thanks:
Rick USA
