Hmmm! it's not very subtle on my machines. Bill ----- Original Message ----- From: Lloyd Rasmussen To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, April 17, 2012 7:44 PM Subject: RE: IE9 and WE 7.5.4
Internet Explorer generates a sound when the information bar pops up. But it is rather subtle, and I suspect that many people aren't hearing it. All downloads are accessed via the Notification Bar, or the Download manager (Control-J). We did a Webinar about using IE9 and accessing the Notification Bar back in March (refer to www.gwmicro.com/training/webinar_training, specifically, "March 14, 2012: Downloading files in Internet Explorer 9 and accessing the Notification Bar (Podcast/MP3)." I am finding differences that are causing problems and I am wondering if there is a list of tweaks or settings changes that I can make to IE9 to make it work better with WE 7.5.4. Any clues would be appreciated. One example deals with downloading files from the internet. I click on a download and the usual window about "run or save" doesn't seem to come up. Using mouse keys I can find some text relating to the choices but then can't seem to go further. I'm sure this has to do with a setting of some kind but I've no idea what. Thanks again.
