Hi, I switched from McAfee to Microsoft's Security Essentials almost three years ago and have been very satisfied with how it works. I have it loaded on four computers here and knock on wood, haven't had a virus yet. MSSE does not take up a lot of resources like McAfee and Norton. I do check for malware using another program every once and a while and it finds a few tracking cookies, but that doesn't bother me too much.

Hi, I would not recommend this. Microsoft security products are extremely suspect. Security essentials, windows defender, windows firewall, all consistently rate low to lowest in independent testing. Where-as macaffee consistently rates very high. Macaffee is not long on accessibility, but you should be able to make it do it's thing with a little extra work.
