Hi Richard,

I'm doing the same thing (that is, mixing products from different versions
of Office on the same pc).  While Ralph had the right idea, it's better to
do this with WE profiles.  You can establish a profile in WE for Office
2003, and a second for Office 2010.  You can switch between the profiles as
needed (in the WE control panel), and you can install the correct version of
the office set files in each appropriate profile.  

It works quite well, but there simply is no way to easily alt-tab from say
Word 2003 to Outlook 2010; when you switch between apps from different
versions of Office, you must go into the WE control panel and change
profiles.

Be aware that each profile has its own set of apps, so you'll need to have
them installed, and keep them up-to-date, in each profile.
