do you have a dual mode display card?
i don't know if this would show in the device manager or not.
if so i think you have to disable one of them before w e will work because it only supports one video display at a time.

I removed we with the remove programs and also the emergency uninstall.
The card shows as an atei 1300. I poked around on line and ffound
drivers which I installed. We said video drivers had been changed and
needed to be rebooted. I did all that and no matter what I do, I get
same mesage. Video support has been installed, but is not running. I'm
about ready to pull my hair out, or learn how to use nvda better.

have you checked the windows video driver in the device manager? if it is useing a genaric svga and not a driver designed for the manufacturers display card the w e mirror driver may not work. in this case the w e video driver would not load so it would not find the driver when it loads.
have you used the emergency removal tool from the w e cd?
you have to uninstall w e from the add remove list first. then run the tool to remove all the registry keys. use narrator because the advanced control will not talk in the w e setup screen. it takes about 30 seconds to remove w e and show a staement that w e has been completely removed from your computer.
then try installing 7.0.

Yes, rebgooted several times. When I use the hot key, that is when I
get the video support is installed but not running. I also tried nvda
and it seems to run fine. The odd thing is the install with speech
doesn't speak either.

did you reboot a second time?
the first time it will give you the video driver error. sometimes you have
 to reboot a second time.
sometimes you have to load w e with the hot key control alt w. then check
the startup options to see if it is set to load on log on etc.
did you completeley uninstall version 6 before installing version 7?
you may also have to use the emergency removal tool that is in the
advanced button on the setup screen. but it will not speak unless you use
 narrator.

 I bought a used Dell Optiplex GX745
I can't seem to get window-eyes installed, tried 7.0 and 6.1. It doesn't
come up talking during the install, so I have to use narrator. It seems
 to
install, then says window-eyes has installed video support, but it is not
yet running, you must reboot. When I reboot, nothing, just go round in
circles. Any suggestions. What am I missing here?
