To the Person having problems with Outlook 2007 Reading the Contents of Folders:
I, too, had this problem this morning, and now that half the day is gone, I've suddenly remembered that yesterday I was fiddling around in the Win-eyes Control panel, and had made some changes there. Apparently some of those changes don't really take effect until you shut down and reboot, because I never noticed the development of our problem until this morning when I booted up. If this is the same problem you're having, try this, because it fixed my problems. With Outlook up and running, and in focus, do the ctrl-backslash. Open up the Verbosity settings and play around in there. In my case the changes were in the "Activated" and the Focused Window" settings. Don't make too many changes at once, and don't forget to hit Enter on the "Save Settings" entry, and you probably should reboot after each change to be sure.
