My apologies if I'm covering old ground here, but I cannot find a previous post on exactly this question.
Eloquence pronounces August twenty-first, 2012 as August second one st, 2012. Here's how it's written with numbers: August 21st, 2012. Note the pronunciation is correct when moving word-by-word, but not when reading the entire paragraph or by the line. In the Settings, Other menu option, I have changed numbers to off, on and to synthesizer without solving the incorrect pronunciation. The pronunciation is the same regardless of setting. (By the way, the number option is set to program.) Most often I encounter this in Outlook 2003 on XP with the latest version of WE, but the problem occurs across all office programs. I just happen to use Outlook most of the time. This is not a serious problem, but a real irritation. If anyone has solved this, I would appreciate knowing how you solved it. Thanks so much.
