Joseph, I wonder if Jarte would suit your needs. You can include
carriage returns in search strings with this software. It's a free word
processor based on the WordPad engine. It's available at
http://www.jarte.com
and has a quite robust screen reader mode and first-rate support by the
developer if you support the shareware version for $20.
