I am signed up for the digest version of this thing, but I get many messages
through out the course of the day, not just a single one. Frankly, it is a
darn nuisance. That is why I opted for the digest in the first place.

What is up?

that what I should see? If so it's still the same. Is there some

Subject: Re: WE and highlighted items in Windows Explorer

Hey cory,

Explorer.set is the correct set file. What voices selected items is the
cursor keys. Shift-Up and down arrows are defined globally and
Control-Shift-Up and down arrows are defined using program scope in that
set file. They should all be set to read highlighted text.

If those are all defined correctly you can try upping the delay;
probably in increments of three and see if that works. Or you could just
try cranking one up to ten or fifteen. If it solves the problem lower it
until it's dependable and then set the rest to the same value.

Hth,
Tom

The challenge is trying to predict when We will decide to see plain text
messages as blank. When this happens if I shut down Outlook and restart it, the
problem goes away until the next random occurrence. What I can try is to run
Outlook in safe mode for several days to see what happens.

When I checked the Com Add-Ins all that was listed is the Window-Eyes
Office Helper. As for add ons it was hard for me to determine what is and is
not installed. Each one shown had the Install button available.

What other addons or plugins are you running on top of MS Outlook?
Antivirus and so on?
Go to tools, option
Others tab and last to advance option button

you should find buttons in it which will give you the info what's running on
top of Outlook 2003. One of them should be call add-ons.

I don't have that version at that moment to double check on the specific
button name.

The other way I will do to troubleshoot the problem is, start Outlook in
safe mode and do what you always do.

For my experience which its quite similar with yours, it can be related to
Outlook 2003 addons itself or even the browse mode only when it encounter
html messages.
If all your mails are plain text, I don't seem to have that problem.

In Outlook 2003 and Windows XP SP3, on this computer at home, W-E sometimes
stops reading the bodies of either text or HTML messages. GW has never been
able to figure out why this is happening. But I don't have to shut down W-E
or Outlook. Usually I can clear the problem by finding a message of the
opposite type and opening that. So if I find a text message that is not
reading, I switch to an HTML message, open that, and I can go back to the
text message and it will work properly for another 10 or 20 messages.

Hello peter,

Recalling what you said about your Office set up on the PC you are using,
have you got the GW Micro factory set file for the calculator installed.

This does make it accessible.

It is just a simple calculator, it may not fit the demand you may wish to
place on it.

Yes, you have the correct association.
If you did reboot your computer and still things are not right.
Then I would
control \ back slash
alt f
arrow down to factory settings and enter
then press w and arrow down to windows explorer and install.
and that should do the trick.
good luck

Dear John and others,

Yes, this time the calculater application was installed on my
machine. I still cannot get the calculater to function in the correct
way and really not at all. I'd type in like five plus two in the
regular fashion with numbers and characters and it gives me a wrong
answer and there is no edit box that records what I had typed. The
similar thing occurs when using the virtual mouse and left clicking
the numbers and characters on the virtual numpad as well. Unsure
though but the Excell Spreadsheet would work more affectively just I
have forgotten all of the Excell Spreadsheet knowledge that I once had
because of not using those skills. So, I need to average a lot and
tried the function sum and then did the average and the nu8mber isn't
right using the alt shift and r or f2 functions and all. Thanks for
any further information just that I've read an article on GW-Micro's
site on an rebenner, manual on Excell Spreadsheets and looked under
the support search fields without any success yet.

Thanks,

Subject: Is there a quicker way to add new libraries to Windows 7 than the
method I've been following?

Hi all,
I just figured out from an article I read on the internet how to create new
libraries in Windows 7, and the same thing will most definitely apply to me in
Windows 8 for the file history feature which I learned from the building
Windows 8 blog, that it only backs up files located on the system
drive/partition by default, but I follow the best practice (which I would
recommend to anyone) of not saving my documents and music and other things on
the system drive, instead using a dedicated data partition. The problem here
is that those files would not be created in a library by default, so the only
way I have discovered to create a library accessibly is to enter Windows
Explorer, back out of the computer folder, click libraries, right-click new,
and then click library. Then I have to enter the name, and in a separate step,
I have to right-click that library, and then go to properties, include a
folder. Is there a quicker way of doing this using Window-Eyes? The article I
read seemed like the steps were much fewer. Maybe I'm missing the F6 toggle in
Windows Explorer? And as I write this, I see that the F6 toggle brings you
sort of around the horn, and you'll eventually hit the libraries folder under
recent places, but what if I hadn't taken the long route down there before?
Well anyway, any feedback is much appreciated.

Subject:

Installing WE on a Windows7 netbook I just received a netbook, which I am
told has Windows7 on it. I have copied the contents of the WE7.5 CD onto an USB
pen.

My Idea was to start the netbook, and get something like Narrator up running,
and then plug in the usb pen, for further installing WE.

Would anyone please let me know, what keystrokes I have to perform on a
Windows7 machine, so as to get Narrator up running? I am on my own here, and
have to do the job without any eyes to help me, why I am asking. And, this will
be my first time ever, on anything above XP.

So, if anyone would mind to tell the exact keystrokes and commands to get
narrator running, I am sure I can figure the rest, so as to get WE installed.

Thanks everybody!

Subject: RE: Recommendation for accessible calculaters or help with Windows
calculater

Hello peter,

In your note you say:
" Yes, this time the calculater application was installed on my machine.
I still cannot get the calculater to function in the correct way and really
not at all. "

I note that you are using the term application, rather than "set file" and
so I am not sure what you are saying here.

To check the Factory settings:
Go to the Window-Eyes control panel.
Go to File
Go to Factory set files.
Arrow down to Calculator,
It will tell you here if it is installed and if it is the latest version.
If not, then install it.

Otherwise, I'm afraid I have run out of thoughts on this one.
