Good morning I wonder if WE has a problem with Imap and OE? A week or so ago, our company email moved to the Google server. I then was given a choice as to use OE in the Pop format or Imap. I reconfigured the OE settings for the Imap account. Here is my problem. Now sometimes when trying to forward a mail and adding my 2 cents worth to the top of it WE will not read anything I have typed. Once I hit forward all is fine, I can add addresses and modify the subject line. The problem comes in the body of the message. I can hear what I am typing but I can't review it. The arrow keys result in nothing at all and neither does the shift tab key to get back up into the address fields. Redrawing the screen has no effect. Actually it will not redraw. I have tried to toggle on and off brows mode only to be told that it is not available. I press escape and the dialog box pops up to save in the drafts folder but WE will not read that either. I just happen to know what to do here. Press Y, if I want it to be in the drafts folder, n, if I want it to toss it out, and C, if I would like to continue as is.
If I put it in the Drafts folder and then close WE and then restart We, reopen the message there is no change. It will not read with he arrow keys or the tab keys from field to field. the only combination that seams to work is to read the entire window. This just started in the last week or so. The only thing that I have different is the Imap settings. Why would that affect the way WE reads and responds? That is all I can figure that has changed. I don't recall any one ever mentioning Imap as either good or bad on this list so I never gave it a thought when I made the change. There are other oddities that have happened as well but that is another message. Any suggestions? Is Imap the problem?
