If your progress indicators are active, that might help. There will be several beeps if programs need updates. If not, then it will check still and see all programs are up to date.

i just got it, but uh, there's nothing to show me what it's doing once I click on the .exe file. that's a little unnerving. if it were making me food, then I'd be ok with that. but...it's not.
