Hi. Sounds like quicktime has taken over the association for mp3 files.
If you have another mp3 player installed, go into the preferences for
it and make sure that it becomes the default player for mp3 files. My
favorite player is Winamp. I've been using it for years and it hasn't
failed me yet.
As for quicktime, that can be uninstalled under programs and features in
Win 7.
Hope that helps somewhat.

Hi all. I am using a Dell Xps laptop running Window-eyes 8.0 beta 2 under
Windows 7 home premium 32 bit. I know that the issue is not related to
Window-eyes, but I am unable to play any of the Guess What mp3's on this
computer.
When I select a particular Guess What mp3, after pressing enter the page
tries to load. Within about a minute, a Windows 7 error chime sounds, and I
receive the following error: Quick Time unavailable, initialization failed,
followed by zero. Please make sure Quick Time is installed correctly. When
I checked under programs and features, it shows in the list. How do I make
sure Quick Time is properly installed short of removing and reinstalling it?
Thanks.
