Hi,
If you already have a working version of windows then you can perform what
ever type of install you wish. If you do a upgraid from 7 to 8 then what
ever screen reader you set to start when windows starts will start when
windows asks for more information will come up and start speaking.
If you decide to do a clean install then you can start narrator with windows
enter when it is asking for more information.
Unles you have a system that is not working as it should I would do a
upgraid. This saves you the trouble of having to reinstall all of your
desktop programs. The upgraid I performed here works just fine. See my
other note on this subject.

Hi everyone,
I would like to confirm what it sounds like from this thread and that is
that it is possible to do whatever type of install you wish (upgrade or
clean install) of Windows 8 with speech and no site required and without
having to jump through the crazy hoops of creating a script and then saying
a prayer that the script actually works aftger the painful process of
creating the thing to start with?
It would be really interesting to know the details on what steps are
required to do the install with speech. What do you press at what point in
the process to get NVDA going for the install?
