Hi Bob,

I'm not sure about the "go to" speech; sometimes if the window is not
maximized I do hear unwanted, unexpected speech, so maybe just be sure the
window is maximized.

As for the "sequence field", if you don't want to hear about fields, go into
the WE control panel, the verbosity items, find office, then find Word, then
find "fields", and tab through the settings and uncheck the item for
speaking fields. Some feature you are using in Word must be adding a
sequence field is my guess, but you don't have to have WE tell you about
fields.

There is a nice e-book and audio tutorial about using Word with Window-Eyes
from Access Technology Institute you may wish to purchase, which will help
teach you Word (2010) and how to use it with WE at the same time.

Hth,

Chip

Subject: A Couple of Annoying Problems when Using Word

Good Morning,

For most of my years as a computer user I have used Word Perfect which I
still like but increasingly I'm feeling the need to switch primarily to MS
Word. Today I am writing a reference letter which is quite important and am
using Word. As I type and reread I am frequently hearing the repeated
phrase "Go TO" and occasionally the phrase "leaving sequence field" I see
no relevance to either of these phrases in the work I'm doing. I don't
know their cause, and I don't know how to get rid of them. Any suggestions
will be much appreciated.

Regards,

Bob Martin
