Somehow, it sounds like your mouse has got stuck on a button on the screen, in
Word. Open your Word document, and hit the Insert-Plus combination, on the
numeric keypad. You should hear "pointer routed to cursor". See if this fixes
your problem with the occasionally speaking of unwanted text. Have been into a
few cases, not only in Word, where the mouse for some reason gets stuck on an
onscreen control, and WE keeps repeating the control name, every now and then.
Anoying, I agree, but usually easy enough to fix. Smile.

Subject: A Couple of Annoying Problems when Using Word

  Good Morning,

For most of my years as a computer user I have used Word Perfect which I
still like but increasingly I'm feeling the need to switch primarily to MS
Word. Today I am writing a reference letter which is quite important and am
using Word. As I type and reread I am frequently hearing the repeated phrase
"Go TO" and occasionally the phrase "leaving sequence field" I see no
relevance to either of these phrases in the work I'm doing. I don't know
their cause, and I don't know how to get rid of them. Any suggestions will be
much appreciated.

  Regards,

  Bob Martin
