Hi, all. I sent a similar message to tech support but haven't received a response as of yet.
I am trying to listen to the samples of the Vocalizer voices on my new Dell xps-8500 desktop running Window-eyes 8.0 beta 2 until the cd arrives. However, I am unable to listen to the samples. I click on the link provided from within the Gw News e-mail. I find the heading about the Vocalizer samples. When I get to either combo box after opening them, I can't hear what I have selected. For example, in the language combo box when it is open, I hear only index numbers such as 1 of 39. In the voice combo box, I don't hear anything. The preview button shows as disabled. So, do I have to wait until I receive the Window-eyes 8.0 cd? Why should it make any difference which version of Window-eyes I am running? Using Raul's analogy, I want to sample the vocalizer voices to make sure I like what I hear. No indication is given that we can't hear the samples if we don't have the final version of Window-eyes. I understand that downloading and installing the Vocalizer voices is another matter, grin. Heck, I've had an easier time sampling food items, bigger grin.
