Since WE8, I have been experiencing the tab key just not working. I
will press it and it will not say or do anything. It has reached the
point where I am required to use the L key to move around in links.
This happens nearly constantly on IE and about half of the time I use
Firefox. Fortunately, I don't have to surf the web a lot.

My setup is probably different from yours. I’m running WE 8, IE 8
under Windows 7. Using the g and shift-G keys, I see that the links
you are mentioning are graphics, whereas others higher on the page are
not. A new feature of WE 8 which you need to get used to is that
browse mode can be turned on and off as you tab through fields. This
is not automatic if you use the arrow keys instead. What is read and
what the arrow keys can do is affected by whether you are in browse
mode or not. And what is read may be different between the two modes
for some kinds of links. In going through your scenario on the GW
home page, browse mode is not switching for me. So I don’t have a
full explanation for what you are encountering.

*Subject:* Tab key not reading properly
Is anyone else seeing this?
What better place to test it out than the GW Micro website.
www.gwmicro.com <http://www.gwmicro.com>
Go to the About Us link near the bottom of the page.
If I use the down arrow key from that link the following 7 links read
as follows.
GW Micro on Facebook
GW Micro on Twitter
GW Micro on You Tube
GW Micro on Flickr
GW Micro Blog
GW Micro RSS Feeds
GSA Federal Supply Schedule Contract No. GS-35F-0512L
Now if I return to the About Us link and use the Tab key I get this.
Link

Furthermore, if I Tab down once more, it reads:
Online Ordering.
If I arrow down it reads:
Online Ordering Visa, Mastercard, Discover accepted
This happens all over the internet, so is it something i've done or is
anyone else seeing the same?
Scot.
