I have a Dell desktop running Win 7, IE 9 and WE 8. Sometimes when launching IE, WE stops speaking. WE is still there, just not speaking. I would have to reboot the PC to get speech back. Because this situation was unacceptable, I installed JAWS 14 on the machine. I have noticed that when WE speech goes away, If I then launch JAWS, WE speech comes back. I can unload JAWS and go on using WE. I can't figure out for the life of me why launching JAWS would bring back WE speech.
