Steve,
Kareem asked me off line about those annoying "read only edit box" phrases
we couldn't seem to get rid of when reading a message. I'm still
experiencing those, but I haven't upgraded to Win Eyes 8 on this machine.
I think we were hoping that the browse mode changes in Version 8 would fix
this problem. Are you on WE 8? I have you noticed a change?

Kareem,

I do not know of a resource that does the kind of comparing that you are
looking for. While all e-mail clients do many of the
same thing, Lotus Notes definitely does some things differently than most.
It is possible that IBM has something, though.

However, the first think you need to do is to be sure you are using the
"basic" version of Lotus Notes. Some companies only
install the basic version but some install both the basic version and a
larger version that depends some on Java. As far as I
have seen, you can do everything on the "basic" version that you can do on
the other version. You might need to get some help
from the technical staff to figure out which version you have. If you
find that the list of messages does not read correctly,
though, that means you probably are using the full version.

There are a few other Lotus Notes users on this list so possibly they will
know if there are training materials that can help you.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson
