Hi Jim,
If you did a fresh install of WE8, you should copy and paste your saved
default profile over the install default.
Although, it might be prudent to rename the original default to
default.old
which is default dot old
Don't forget that you need to restart WE8 to access your default profile.
Your second question,
just open the app manager and tab to security
and tab until you hear allow all, or something similar.
