Hi Net Bat, Thank you for replying to my questions. I hope that you are not correct about the speed of my machine. I just got this brand new one out of the box when I got Win Seven. Windows Seven is a lot different from XP so I hope I managed to find the system information and I will paste it here. If speed is my problem would you let me know? I have only had this unit for a bit over a month now. As far as the standard color scheme. I prefer the high contrast black mode which is more than one color black and white. It turns a lot of colors into something else. I prefer this mode because I have a bit of vision left and occasionally I need to actually find that mouse and get it over to a section that WE just has no idea that it exists . So I am very reluctant to change it to something I can't find that mouse in. I have tried to set the highlight color for the light bar of the explorer window and that doesn't change the behavior. I did try tom K's idea and changed the cursering delay from 1 to 3 to see if it works but I haven't noticed it has done much of anything. Would you take a look at the specs on this machine and tell me what you can about the speed performance of this set up? Thanks Shannon

Good afternoon, I am really getting disturbed by the fact that WE can’t or won’t tell me the truth. When trying to find a file in windows explorer and arrowing up and down the list of files and folders WE is reporting erroneous things. I know that I don’t have multiple files in this folder with the same name but WE seams to get a file title stuck In its head and will not let go. As I arrow up and down I keep hearing the same title. What is the problem. I am using Windows seven WE 8.1 The set files are explorer. Set and explorer is associated. High contrast black color scheme The view is a list no icons and has details checked. Why can’t I have We telling me the selected item? I am getting very frustrated by this. I also have a problem with WE hanging onto old things and repeating things that are long gone, such as an email title that has been read, then deleted, and Outlook is closed. Alt tab across different programs will result in hearing that old email title being spoken. Something is really wrong. This didn’t start happening until 8.??? This didn’t happen for me with 7.??? And XP Since I upgraded to win seven and WE 8 I don’t trust what WE is telling me anymore. It also reads the wrong titles of email in outlook in the inbox message list. I will hear a from and subject announced, only to find when I open it that it is a different one. What could be my problem?
