Yes, same here regarding the WE evalulation copy message. Received it twice, WE did not stop after 30 minutes or so and the message has not appeared since.

My brother received the same error yesterday evening.  All he did was
log into his Windows xp account.  I suggested to him that possibly GW
Micro's site might have been temporarily down, as I had not received any
messages from the list for several hours.  BTW, my copy is working
normally, but I have not started WE for a few days.  My computer has
been running since about Friday.  It is my guess that now the list is
back up, the problem is possibly resolved.
