Talking about this Chase bank issue got me to thinking about
schwans.com. I had seen some discussion about it on this list sometime
back, but the discussion ended and I didn't hear much after that. As
far as I can tell, there's still an issue with adding your items to your
cart. you can certainly log in and do searches for different products,
but the add to cart button doesn't seem to be visible with window-eyes.
The other screenreaders that I have on my system like NVDA and system
access work with it just fine, but I don't want to have to switch
screenreaders just to use one website. Just for everyone's info, i'm
using wE 8.1 in windows 7 64-bit, and I tried the site with both IE 9
and the latest Firefox, version 20. If you search for a specific
product, you can see your search results, like the specific web page for
that product and there's a combo box to determine how many of that product
you want to buy, but the add to cart button isn't visible. Kind of
frustrating. I'm wondering if there's a setting I need to change
somewhere within WE to get this to read, or is this just a case of WE
and the website not being compadible? I'm hoping we can get this fixed.
