Hi All:

I noticed the same behavior with WE not talking after I unload it and reload using Control-Alt-W with WE 7.5.4.1 on a 64 bit Win 7 Home Premium Dell desktop after my machine returned from the shop last week. I'm running an earlier version of WE, but haven't gotten the work around "tab to the sys tray then back to the desktop before w e 8 will speak" to work. In addition to all the other strange WE behavior others have reported, the left and right arrow keys to expand and collapse threads in Thunderbird 17.0.5 don't work.

Window-Eyes is virtually dead in the water here and I'm using JAWS.

I'm wondering if maybe a Microsoft update performed while the machine was at the shop might be conflicting with WE?

Any help getting back to normal would be greatly appreciated.

Margaret

speak. or try tabing to the sys tray and press enter on show desktop.
i have to do this with both win 7 and 8.
