Robert,

It's possible that your mouse is hovering over part of the document, and Word thinks you want to move to that spot when the window regains focus. If you first route the mouse to the top left corner of the window with Numpad-7, does that help?

Sometimes when I hit control s to save a document, I'm yanked upwards about about half a page from my current position and have to hit control end to get back to the bottom of the document to continue writing. Is this a word thing?
