Ah, yes that does the trick. Won't always be a permanent solution though, 
especially since I use cursor routing buttons on my braille display. It was 
just an oddity that I wondered about.

  It's possible that your mouse is hovering over part of the document, and Word 
thinks you want to move to that spot when the window regains focus. If you 
first route the mouse to the top left corner of the window with Numpad-7, does 
that help?
