Hi
For me, this happens a few seconds after Windows boots, and if I wait
for Window-eyes to load, the problem usually solves itself. So if all
else fails, you could try waiting a few seconds and if that still
doesn't clear it out, you can try the other suggestions people are giving.

most of the time all you have to do is tab away and back to the

This has been happening to me as well since I have had windows 8 and win
eyes 8 through 8.2. My solution has been to log off and then log back
into windows again. This returns everything back to normal. Rick

I experience the same on my new Dell running Windows 8 64 and
Window-eyes
8.2 On rare instances when I shut down Window-eyes, launch NVDA, then
restart Window-eyes using the CTRL-ALT-W shortcut, my desktop icons
are no
longer spoken by Window-eyes. Tabbing over to and Entering on "Show
Desktop" makes no difference. I really wish this wee fixed in V8.2 of
Window-eyes.

Hello friends,
I am running Win-7 64-bit, and Win-eyes 7.5.4.1. Now on occasion, like
right now, when I go to the desk-top, there is simply nothing listed
there, and the only way I can get the listing back, is to re-boot the
computer. Anyone else have this experience? If so, how can it be
remedied?
Thanks
