This also happens in Windows Live Mail and Windows Mail and has done so for 
quite a while.  I have to use NVDA to compose or reply to messages because it's 
virtually impossible to edit a message.  Also, browse mode engages before you 
start composing and you have to manually turn it off.  I can't understand why 
NVDA doesn't have this problem and yet Window-Eyes, which is more 
sophisticated, has had this unfixed bug for some time.
