Hi Bob,
It is my understanding that Windows blue will be bringing back the start button, but not the start menu. The start button will bring up the start screen as the windows key currently does. In Windows 8 there is no longer a start button at the lower left of the screen that has been a staple of Windows sense 95.

Guess we will all find out start menu, start button when the preview is launched at the end of this month.

After working with windows 8 for a while, it doesn't seem too bad.  The most
difficult thing is that ie10 and W E are not allowing the use of the mouse
on web pages.  That makes it hard to mouse click something that insists on
that.
