Hi Robin, I just spent some time testing your sample document on my Windows 7 Pro 64-bit computer running Office 2010 Pro 32-bit and Window-Eyes 8.2. Regretfully, I was not able to duplicate the issue you have been reporting. After opening the document, I verified that the Word 2010 set file was loaded. I then tabbed through the table and Window-Eyes accurately announced the cell position and the cell data if present. There was no announcement of bell. I also used my arrow keys as well as the Window-Eyes table navigation commands (Insert-Arrow Keys) and got the same results. This would indicate that there is something in your configuration that has been modified and could be the reason why you are getting different results. First, can you check to see if you have the show all punctuation option turned on in Word? The hotkey to toggle this option on and off is Control-Shift-8. Can you also check to see if you have any of your Window-Eyes punctuation settings turned on? I had all of my Window-Eyes punctuation settings set to off during my tests.

I duplicated the issue again in Word 2010 this morning on my home PC. Interestingly though, I noticed something new. I'm attaching a new table. In this one,... Row 1 reads just cell coordinates. Row 2 reads cell coordinates the text of the cell and the word "bell" Row 3, read the cell coordinates, the word "horse" that I typed in cell 1 and that's it. The difference here is that in Row 3 cell 1, I typed the word "horse" then hit the enter key. So there is a line break in the cell after the word "horse". This was an accident at first, but then I noticed that the cell did not say the word "bell" after horse. _____________________________ Robin Van Lant 720-304-1060 Sr. Program Manager, Strategic Services Key Equipment Finance From: "Marc Solomon" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Date: 07/03/2013 08:56 AM Subject: Odd verbosity thing in Word tables Hi Robin, If this is a Window-Eyes bug, we would like to work with you to get it fixed. I just created a simple two by two table in Word 2010 and populated each cell with a three digit number. When I Tab through the table, Window-Eyes accurately reports the number and does not say bell at the end. Can you email the document that you can duplicate this behavior in to [email protected] so we can investigate? Thanks, Marc Subject: Odd verbosity thing in Word tables From: [email protected] Date: Tue, 2 Jul 2013 10:57:33 -0600 Hi all, I just noticed an odd thing when navigating tables in Word using WE 8.2. This is occurring both at work running Word 2003 and at home running Word 2010. If I tab between cells in the table, WE reads the contents followed by what sounds like the word "bell". So if the cell contains the number 333, WE will read "333 bell". It doesn't do it when the cell is blank. Anyone familiar with this and know what is causing it? I have a few apps loaded, but I have them turned off and the oddity is still occurring. I definitely did not notice this on WE 7.2. Just know that I went from WE 7.2 to WE 8.2 on my work computer recently and that's when I noticed the "bell" thing here.
