Every time I open a message that includes HTML links, WE 8.2 freezes for 15 or 20 seconds whenever it encounters a link while I am reading the message a line at a time. If I use the read-to-end feature, WE does not freeze at all. But sometimes, it's helpful to be able to arrow through a message in a more granular fashion than read-to-end allows.
The only way I can tell when WE unfreezes after encountering a link is to constantly tap the caps lock key. When WE finally says "caps lock on" or "off" as the case may be, then I know I can tap down-arrow again to have WE read the next line. I think I've turned off the speaking of actual links--not the use of the word "link" but the speaking of actual addresses in Window-Eyes, but I may have a problem with that somewhere. Can't remember where that is in verbosity.
