I have used OmniPage 14 and 16 and it runs very well. I have tried OmniPage 17 and it will not run on my Windows XP Pro machine. After several hours working with their technical support I gave up on OmniPage 17. I would be concerned with OmniPage 18 for the same reason. I have also used PaperPort 8 with good success and Paperport 11 with less success. I have also tried PaperPort 12 and 14 which will not run on the XP machine. After several weeks working with Nuance support they informed me there was a bug in PaperPort and it would not run on my machine and that they would get back to me with a fix. That was about 6 months ago. So far no fix.
