Sometimes a second press of Alt-left seems to be necessary. At other times it is a popup when you click on a link and that popup has to be closed. It's hard to know which it is though. I have used Control-F4 or Alt-F4 only to discover I had closed Internet Explorer completely. It's frustrating to say the least.

On a very regular basis when on random web pages I can not get the Previous page hot key which is alt left arrow to work. An example would be simply using google to find web pages on a particular subject go to one of the links offered then try to go back to the google listing. Many times I can't go back.
Any ideas as to why this is happening.
