Hi. Any poetic justice that the new IE 11 is released on the 11th of November? And while that may be food for thought, for those who choose to upgrade, I harken back to a question which was big some months back.

I can't remember what the sequence was but in either a subsequent release of Win-Eyes or a future upgrade of Internet Explorer, much talk about the usage of the mouse pointer ability would once more be a big feature. The reasons seemed to involve different lay-outs which weren't present in earlier versions of IE thus making it much more accessible on the num keypad but from 9 and 10 and possibly 11, no such luck. But with that question not really being at the center of focus when installing it on a laptop for a trial run, I discovered one glaring difference in 10 vs. 11.

On sites like weather.gov in 10, it would read the forecast alongside things like this afternoon,,, tonight,,,, tomorrow and so on with all the relevant text filled in. In IE11, it would simply just say this afternoon, tonight, tomorrow, with no contextual reason for this omision in ie11 where it was clearly there in 10 and whats more, it was right there in Firefox. So til thats sorted out and other sites prove there worth on IE version 11, 10 seems good enough for now. And let's be real in the initial assessments, they're like dry runs which are prone for initial bugs along the way. So for those who've had similar or slightly different experiences, it'll be interesting to know moving forward. And as a wrap-around to where it all started, I hope everyone's Veterans Day was all you hoped always recognizing and being eternally greatful for those who've made the way of life we continue to enjoy a foregone reality not just on the holiday but any chance out there, from sporting events to all other forms of interactions. So as Tuesday dawns, watch out, stay warm and we'll see where IE takes us all, bing or no bing.
