My version of winamp 5.572 is not registered and the .exe file also says
"full". So I don't think this necessarily means that the latest version
comes registered.

After a little checking, I believe the final version is not restricted. I
saw no place to enter a product key either. Also, when I downloaded the
file, I noticed the the file name indicated that it is the full version. I
tried downloading the Pro downloadc, and it, too, showed that it is the
full version. Maybe this last version is unrestricted..

Yikes! I better do that and burn it on a CD.
Thanks for that great advice.
Now everyone head on over to the WinAmp web site. lol.
I don't see a place to enter my serial number or product key.
Wouldn't it automatically see that I was using the pro version?
Thanks.

I would also strongly suggest that you download the executable file from
Winamp. Thus, if you need to put it on a different computer, you can do
so. Having said this, I realize the Ninite installer may work by itself,
but I did it anyway. Also, if you bought the Pro version, the code should
work as it did before.

Oh, I sure hope so! I use it to play all my mp3 files.
Can one burn CD's with WinAmp?
Thanks.

I think Winamp will still play music after December 21.

Oh! What a bummer!
I bought WinAmp Pro several years ago.
I love it!
Now what do we do?
Can we still use the program after they shut down?
Thanks.

Well it's the end of an era!
www.winamp.com
will be shutting down December 20. For proof go check out the downloads
page.
Winamp is a very popular free Windows Media Player that just so happens
to be keyboard and screen reader friendly so us visually impaired can
even use it. I'm sure it's just as popular with the sighted too.
So we gather here today, to mourn the death of Winamp! Lol!
