I believe that the confusion here is that the newer versions of WE will only support the current supported Windows versions that Microsoft is supporting. For example, If a new version of WE comes out after Microsoft stops supporting XP next year then that version of WE will not support XP, but the older versions of We will still support the Windows version that they supported when they came out. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chip Orange" <[email protected]>

Matt,

There's a statement from Doug in another thread on this: if I can just
summarize, he seems to be saying they'll continue to support xp just as long
as they can. That could be for a long time, as there's nothing which is
going to require that WE stop working on XP just because MS is no longer
actively creating bug fixes.

I'm guessing you might see (as happens right now with the current version), some odd feature here or there which is only available on higher versions of
Windows, but I don't think you have to worry that WE would suddenly stop
working.

Hth,

Chip

On that, could someone confirm if GW Micro will go on supporting
Windows XP after its retirement scheduled for next April?

Many thanks, Matt
