I think we are getting hung up on the meaning of the word "support".
I believe, if it's technically possible, GW will continue to produce a product which will run on XP. There may be some feature (such as there is now with remote sessions), where having a later version of Windows will work better, or where XP won't work, but they are not going to cause WE to stop working on XP. There's nothing in it for them to do that except unhappy customers. However, they aren't going to promise it will always work; and they may decide not to try and trackdown and fix a problem if it seems to be xp related. But I believe WE will continue to run under XP for quite some time. For example, If a new version of WE comes out after Microsoft stops supporting XP next year then that version of WE will not support XP, but the older versions of We will still support the Windows version that they supported when they came out. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chip Orange" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, December 11, 2013 10:20 AM Subject: RE: window-eyes questions > Matt, > > There's a statement from Doug in another thread on this: if I can just > summarize, he seems to be saying they'll continue to support xp just as > long > as they can.
