Prior to releasing the newest version of the Extended Dictionary, a
Dictionary was specially being developed for the American Vocalizer voices.
Based on the limited access I have to the Vocalizer package, it was tested,
and confirmed working in the cases I tested it on.
A couple of users, now have reported back certain cases where the
"FullStop"-issue still pokes its nose through. I have made a few extra
entries, and sent them to the users who reported the issue. Once we can have
them confirmed working, I will publish the extra entries, that may take care
of the left-overs of this annoying issue.
If anyone else is experiencing trouble with the app, please get in touch,
and let me know. New for the version 0.68, is that you are offered a
specially designed "Reporting" feature. Go to your WE Control Panel, and hit
Alt-A. Scroll down to the entry that says: Dictionary, and hit Enter. Scroll
down to the entry saying: Support By Email, and hit Enter. Explore the
choices, and choose the one you find most in line with the type of report
you are sending.
The benefit of sending reports through this service, is that the app
automatically will pack up log files and Dictionaries, and send them along
with your message. These files are all files produced by the app, and they
don't contain any personal information. They are all available in your User
Profile folder of Window-Eyes, but many users found it troublesome to
remember including them for their reports. And they have been useful, when
trying to trace a trouble, in the past. Hence, this automated service was
designed. You can read more details about the different types of reports, in
the User's Guide, under the section of Support, found near the end of the
guide. Hit Alt-Shift-9 anywhere, to bring up the User's Guide.
One extra benefit of the Reporting service, is that messages send this way,
will automatically be tagged in such a way, that they go directly to the
right place in my inbox. This will just ensure a more tidy way for me, to
handle your feedback. there is nothing secret about the service, it makes
use
of plain Email functionality. It just simplifies a few steps for you, and
ensures that I get the information I need in tracing your trouble.
Whatever trouble you may be facing, keep in mind, that many of the cases can
be solved by adding an extra entry, or modifying one of the provided
entries. I do apologize to anyone for any problems you are experiencing.
Still, the Extended Dictionary may be one of the most deep-digging apps
available, in that it actually captures your speech synthesizer, and
modifies what is spoken. This is the benefit many users called for, but it
also results in a power-tool, that sometimes end up being a bottleneck of an
issue. Since there is so many cases of speech strings sent to the
Synthesizer, it is impossible for any developing team to guarantee that you
won't end up with some kind of issues, at one time or the other. No matter
which approach has been taken. Smile.

Bob,
To remove any app you just go into the WE control panel, press alt-A for
the
App, menu; the first choice is the App Management submenu and open that
up,
and arrow down to the choice of "Add or Remove Apps" and select it.
You could contact the author over what's bothering you; he might be able
to
tell you how to fix it, and of course, it gives him a chance to change his
app once he knows something is not right.
Hth,
Chip

Spoke too soon. What do I need to do, if anything to get rid of this?

(0.68), does ship with a Dictionary specially designed for the Vocalizer
voices. Hopefully, this will solve the long overdue issue of these
voices.
Unfortunately, I have only limited testing resources, when comes to the
Vocalizer series of voices. This makes it hard to confirm that all cases
will be handled, by the shipping entries. Yet, you should be able to see
quite an improvement.
Please report back, if there is anything lacking in this regard.
