Hi,
Try the following.

I'm going to assume your starting date is in a2.
1. move to a3.
2. type in the following formula
a2+1
3. Move to a3 and press control-c.
4. Press f8, then press control-g and type a367.
5. Press control-v to paste the formula you copied to the clipboard.
6. Press shift-control-# to switch the format of the selected cells to date.

7.Go to a2 and type 01/01/2014

Your dates will be there until January 1 2015.

Press control-g and type a367. and press enter. You should be on the date 01/01/2015

There might be a better way of doing it but this just worked for me.

Note: you can format the date cells to include the days of the week if you want.

Hi folks,

I need to make a spreadsheet wherein the first column needs to have dates by day for the next year. I know how to insert the date manually, but how can I auto-populate the column to have the year in days? I looked online and a lot of the tutorials said to drag the cursor to the point you want to stop. Uh, well, that's not really helpful.
Anyone have any ideas on this one?
thanks, dave
