You can also do the following:
1. Enter your beginning date in the cell where you want it to start.
2. use the cursor key to move down one cell.
3. Press the equals key one time.
4. Press the up arrow key one time.
5. Press the plus key one time.
6. Press the number 1 key  one time.
7. Press the enter key.  This enters the formula in your second cell.
8. Now copy this cell and paste it down as many cells as youneed.  If
you started at cell A1 you would copy cell A2 down to cell A365 or 366
depending on the year.
9.Be sure to make the cell wide enough to accomadate the characters in
the date. 
10 If you highlight the entire column, use the Edit menu's copy command
and the paste as value command, you will change the formulas to the
permanent date.
