Hey, Jim.

Hey, Jim.

I have been having a similar problem. Have had it ever since I bought this
computer almost 2 years ago. Not only does Window-Eyes become sluggish,
sound marker movement and playback of the sound are affected. Sometimes Gold
Wave and WE become so entangled that I have to start NVDA and kill the two
programs within task manager. When NVDA starts, it too is sluggish, but at
least it tells me where I am. For some reason, NVDA and Gold Wave have no
conflicts and I can get some things done, but I'd much prefer to use
Window-Eyes. My computer is also a Hewlett Packard.

strange with this hp.

Thanks for any help.

Well my problems persist with window-eyes and GoldWave.

When you play a file using goldWave speech just stops using window-eyes. if
you stop the playback after a while speech will resume. Also the set files
for this program are badly out of date and the app for it doesn't work.

I have maid sure that exluesive mode for the sound cards all of them is
unchecked. I have disabled enhancements. For the sound card. I have
turned off the using of open gl and turned it back on again. I have tried a
number of things and window-eyes just doesn't play nice with the latest
version of GoldWave. This is a major problem for me as I use GoldWave a
lot. Any ideas?
