Hi,  remember that you have the jaws key command.  If you press insert j
then press the jaws keyboard command window-eyes will inform you what that
command does.  Also if you would like to avoid the learning curve altogether
you can use the insert keyboard layout.  This will give you the option in
most cases of using the window-eyes default key or using the jaws command.
You of course could change the default keys to your own personal liking.
For example you could make most window-eyes commands default to jaws
commands if you wanted to do that.  Or you could simply undefined  the
window-eyes keyboard commands and use the insert keyboard layout.  If this
strikes your fancy.
