Exactly if it reads undefined that means you can assign a keystroke to it.
you can define window-eyes keyboard commands using the window-eyes control
panel opened with control backslash. Arrow threw the tree view tell you get
to hot keys expand the tree and then move to the section of keys you want to
define. Press tab here. There will be a list of window-eyes commands.
Arrow to the command you want to work with. Now if you want to define a key
press the short cut alt+c or tab to the capture key button. Now press the
key you want to define. If you want to undefined a key press the short cut
alt+u or tab to the undefined button.

For some window-eyes features in the control panel you might need to turn
on advanced mode. This is done in the help menu.

Another good thing to do is check out the manual that is also found in the
help menu it will show you how to do everything you need to do using
window-eyes.

Hi Jim,

Thank you very much for your reply. I do use the Insert keyboard Layout
mode but, I would like to learn to navigate using Window Eyes keystrokes as
well. I was unaware of the, Insert + J keystroke.

How would I do this: Make most window-eyes commands default to jaws
commands if you wanted to do that. Or you could simply undefined the
window-eyes keyboard.

When they say a particular Key / task / function like, Window 1 Undefined,
does that mean this doesn't have a keystroke assigned to it?

Thanks again, take care.
Mike

Hi, remember that you have the jaws key command. If you press insert j
then press the jaws keyboard command window-eyes will inform you what that
command does. Also if you would like to avoid the learning curve altogether
you can use the insert keyboard layout. This will give you the option in
most cases of using the window-eyes default key or using the jaws command.
You of course could change the default keys to your own personal liking.
For example you could make most window-eyes commands default to jaws
commands if you wanted to do that. Or you could simply undefined the
window-eyes keyboard commands and use the insert keyboard layout. If this
strikes your fancy.
