When pressing insert-4, make sure to use the 4 key on the keyboard, not the
numpad.

Okay what you do is press insert 4 not f4. It is a toggle. Give that a try,

Subject: I cannot find the right key to turn off a voice change

  Hello everyone:

I accidentally turned on the CAP-CAP-CAP toggle with Insert F4. In the
process of turning this off, I accidentally caused a new problem. When WE is
reading a compound word such as WordPad or comes to a particular link, the
voice goes up much higher than the normal pitch. I have been through the Hot
Keys list several times and cannot find anything that works. In going through
the table of Hot Keys, the voice also goes up when it reads something like
Ctrl-Shift-R, for instance.

Can anyone tell me how to change this back to normal reading?

  Many thanks.

  Fran

(In reading this, WE reads "Fran" and "Las Vegas" at a higher pitch than the
link. I'm very puzzled.
