May just be in place for me, as the Author of the Time And Date app, to inform you all of the following.

The Time 'n Date app, was released several years ago. It was all in the early days of app development for Window-Eyes, and it was thrown together mainly as part of my first move into the app developing world, after more than two decades of programming in other languages. Since then, I haven't had the time and efforts for updating the code much. Yet, I am in the process of planning an updated version, which hopefully will strike the public not too long from now. Among other things, it will have its entry in the App menu, a feature that was not really straight forward in the early days when the app was designed. The update is also scheduled to take care of a couple of other feature requests that I have received. Being the Author of another major app project - the Extended Dictionary - I have just not got around for the Time app later years, but as stated, an update is in the planning right these days.

Anyone who wants to enjoy its benefits in the simple current state, are welcome to download it already today. And if anyone have suggestions and requests for the performance or new features, please send me a message off-list, at:
   [email protected]

All ideas are welcome, and will be taken into consideration through the updating process.

Thanks,
David
The Author of the Time And Date app

Subject: Time N Date app

Hi Dennis,

There was already an app on App Central which makes Insert-T (using the standard keyboard layout, not the Insert Key layout) speak the time without saying the date. It also lets you press ControlInsert-T to speak the date. Unfortunately, the app author did not include a hot key manager to allow you to remap the keys, nor is there any Help for it in the App menu after you install it. Anyway, it does what you want. Here's the URL to the web page on App Central:

https://www.gwmicro.com/App_Central/Apps/App_Details/?scriptid=1249

If you want to install the app using AppGet, it's under the General category, and it's call Time N Date.

Since there is no help for the app in the App menu after installation, you might want to bookmark the above URL for future reference.

Take care,

Rod
