I have a similar experience, made worse with Windows 8.1.

I believe that the problem is K1000's to solve, and in my case, my theory is
that it is a synthesiser implementation problem within K1000.

Hapy to be corrected by those more knowledgeable.

Good luck.

Vaughan.

Subject: Kurzweil1000 a bit sluggish with Windoweyes opened

  HI guys
Yes even though I'd imagine that the Kurzweil set file is opened since while
Kurzweil runs, WindowEyes stays a sleep, it'I'm finding
Kurzweil1000 sluggish, especially with the Control key to stop/start reading.
Any ideas as to why, and if this is a regular experience?
