Window-Eyes users, any thoughts on the approach described below?

To protect yourself if you go on using XP as I plan to, do this at least:
set up another user (Start, Control Panel, User Accounts), make that one the
administrator,
and create a password for that user's account.
90% of the nasty stuff out there cannot mess with your computer (install or
download
stuff) without admin rights. This password protects it.
Even better, the non-admin account you use for everyday, protect it with a
password
too. Make them STRONG passwords.
(use characters from above the numbers on your keyboard, some capitals and not
always
the first or last of the sequence, numbers etc, and make it 8-10 positions long)
Each account retains the settings you create for it (mouse speed, skin on the
desktop,
bookmarks on the browser etc). If you routinely sign in as the non-admin user,.
you
may find when you want to download an app from the web, you may need to log out
of
that account and log into the admin user's account (Start, Log Off "____"
) a box will come up asking you to select which user you want to sign in as.
Choose the one you gave admin rights to, do the download and install, and sign
out
of the account.
To make this really simple, at least go into User Accounts and add a password to
the account you use now. If you're the only user, there is only one account and
it
has admin rights. Just go into it and choose "Set Password"
Each time you start up the computer or the screen goes to saver mode, you'll
have
to sign in again, but it will really help protect your computer.

And of course, use anti-virus software!
