Walt, in the stand alone Skype application there are no toolbars like that. Make sure you startet the Skype application, then log in with your Skype credentials, not MSN or Facebook credentials. When logged in, press control 3 to see the contact list, use arrow doen/up to find your buddy and the application key to select your action. If all fails I can offer you a WE remote assistance to see what's wrong at your end.

I finally got the actual version of Skype but now it installed all of these toolbars that I want to get rid of like fastbrowser and the like toolbar related to facebook. They claim you can remove them with add/remove but that doesn't work. I checked on these toolbars and they are not malware because they are part of facebook but I think they are when they are put on your system without your permission.
