So...  I still to this very minute don't have the slightest idea what happened, 
but to make a long story short, literally for about the tenth time roughly, I 
switched to the default keyboard layout, then used my numpad keys.  Nothing 
worked.  I then switched to laptop layout again, and lo and behold!  All a 
sudden the dad  blamed thing starts working flawlessly!  I didn't change my 
sets, I didn't roll them back again to factory, none a that!  All I did was 
simply kept switching it back and forth from default to laptop, and finally at 
last, it decided to behave which is a good thing, as I was about to give W E a 
good schpankin!  LOL!  Just kidding.  Hahaha!  I don't honestly know what 
happened to make it all of a sudden start working.  that is totally! wickedly 
bizarre!  Anyone got any thoughts?  Now, if we only could figure out my delete 
key problem that I just posted separetly about, I'd be in business.
