I would think if becky developer can give us a good deal in terms of a
special pricing or window-eyes can detect its presence and offer a deal for
us, a lot of people will move to it.
Else to me, a email client with that price tag is quite expensive to a lot
of people despite its lifetime update.

Good morning. I'd used OE since 1999 and really liked it. However, it was
far from a perfect product. It is kind of like an old friend. I do
understand how attached we can get to familiar programs. However, at this
point the effort required to hack newer versions of Windows to use an
unsupported program may be getting close to the effort required to bite the
bullet and learn a supported program like TB or Becky!. If you're going to
hack Windows making support for it a problem you just might as well fire up
your XP boxes and let the chips fall where they may. At one point in time
you had to learn OE. You got used to it. If you use TB or Becky! you'll
get used to them too. The work you put in to use a new client really will
pay off more than the work to try to trick Windows into executing something
it no longer supports.

Hi Gary & Rod,

Check this out:
I'm not sure if I mentioned this earlier in this thread or not but a
buddy of mine found out that somebody has figured out a way to make
Outlook Express work in Windows 7, and apparently 8 as well. I
installed OE earlier today and sent a test message to myself and it
does work, and the link to the page with the info about it is

http://www.rafailb.tk/index.php?itemid=27
 in case others want to

check it out. The only problem is, and it's something my buddy
mentioned but I haven't experienced it because I've only had OE open
once, apparently it asks you to enter your e-mail account password
every time you open the program and go to connect.
Take care.
Mike
